Helpful information for your safety and ours

PLEASE CONSERVE: our water—we are on wells, our power—costs are rising rapidly so outside lights can be turned off at night, our fire wood—as it is labor intensive to provide, it is expensive, and it contributes to deforestation.

All living creatures should be left alone—give them space and do not collect them!

It is best to leave beach treasures on the beach but if you must collect—

please return all shells, driftwood, and rocks to the beach if you are not

taking them home.

Please do not pick our flowers either in the fields or the gardens—some are memorials to guests,

            we want everyone to enjoy them, and we want them to spread!

Beaches and tidelands on Marrowstone Island are private property—if you are standing on our boat ramp facing the water, to the left, our property extends only to our last blue trimmed cottage—to your right you may go as far as you want.

Any open flame devices such as candles and luminaria are prohibited due to the

fire hazard they pose—use alternatives such as mini lights.

Many people are sensitive to perfumes and incense—please use sparingly.

The furniture in our cottages is not for outdoor use—do not leave outside.

None of our bed and bath linens are to be used outdoors or on the beach.

Outdoor smoking only—due to fire hazard put butts in cans provided.

Pets are not allowed for any reason. 

Do not leave the wood stove door open unless you are lighting it or loading it, and

never leave it open when you depart—sparks cause serious damage.

All fireworks are illegal in Jefferson County.                               Beach fires are prohibited.

Sling shots, BB guns, bow & arrows, potato guns, any incendiary device, weapons or projectile throwing devices are strictly prohibited.

We are not licensed as a campground, therefore no tents, campers, trailers, or motor-homes are allowed.
